                      2002 majors number 200+, with a staff of 6.75 full-time faculty, 23 part-time faculty, one secretary, and student assistants.

 

                      Facilities include three areas:  the Ziv Art Building containing eleven (11) specialized studios/lecture rooms plus Studio San Giuseppe Gallery; two (2) fully equipped computer labs for both Macintosh and IBM; and a photo darkroom/workroom annex.

 

                      Management duties involve long range planning, staffing, schedule, budget for all programs, plus oversight of the London program, department co-op, and the gallery.

 

                      Special duties have involved oversight of remodeling and renovation of facilities:

1988 -          Collaborated with Prof. John Runnette, Lansdowne Campus of Huron

2008            University, now Hult Business School, to implement co-op positions initially for graphic design and interior design majors beginning January, 1989, in London.  Firms participating include the BBC, Harrod's, Toynbee-Clarke and Zarach.  Secondary education practicum experiences for art education majors in London are also now available including Dulwich College.  All art majors may now co-op in London.  Implementation of London Co-op for non-art positions was added in January 1993.  These positions include Parliament, Visa International and Women Therapy Center.  At this time, 72 MSJ students have studied in London; 58 have also co-oped there.

 

1987 -          Appointed College London Advisor to Hult Business School formerly

2008            Huron University in London.  Duties include communications, recruiting, orientation, and yearly on-site monitoring visits.

 

1986            Acted as researcher, special liaison, and envoy to Hult Business School, formerly the Lansdowne Campus of Huron University in London to explore and develop MSJ art offerings.

 

 

1984            Acted as Chairperson of the MSJ Art Department for Fall semester. Department then consisted of four full-time and more than 12 part-time faculty teaching multiple Fine Arts and Applied Design programs in Associate, B.A. and B.F.A. programs. 

 

1983            Acted as special envoy for recruiting Asian students in Washington, D.C.:  Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka.

 

1977            Coordinated our Humanities Core Program.  Duties included: liaison

                      to N.E.H., curriculum, schedule, staffing, budget, evaluation and performance reports, and development of "spin-offs."

 

                      During tenure at my college, I have been appointed or elected to all major college committees including:  Dean's Council (CHAD), Graduate Council, Promotion, Rolling Contract, and Tenure, Faculty Executive, Educational Policies, Faculty Development, Admissions, etc.  In addition, I have served many administrative functions and on numerous ad hoc committees including:  chair of grievance proceedings, editing of faculty handbook materials, catalogue, scholarship, and screening committees for selection of administrators.
