Prosaurolophus

Pro-sore-AH-lo-fuss – “Early crested reptile”

Prosaurolophus dates from the Late Cretaceous (80 million years ago) of Alberta, Canada. This “duck-bill”, or hadrosaur, was named for its presumed relationship to Saurolophus (“Crested-reptile”). It is now not thought possible to establish an ancestor-descendant relationship between these two dinosaurs.
