Lambeosaurus

LAM-o-SORE-us – “Lambe’s reptile”

 

Lambeosaurus from the Late Cretaceous (80 million years ago) of Alberta, Canada. This dinosaur was named in 1923 to honor Canadian paleontologist Lawrence Lambe. It is a hadrosaur, or duck-bill, as evidenced by its broad, duck-like beak.
