Background
My career as a nurse has spanned 35 years and includes both practice and education settings. Since 1992 I have been employed part-time at the College of Mount St. Joseph teaching RN's in the Weekend College. In recent years I have also begun teaching Parish Nursing courses and traveling to off site locations to implement courses for cohort groups of RN students. In addition, I serve on the Planning & Budgeting Committee at the Mount. In the Nursing Department I am involved in the Nursing Leadership Awards Program and the Evaluation Committee. In the community I serve as a board member of the Health Resource Center, Inc., and a a board member of the Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Science. I also am active in the governance of my church, Westwood First Presbyterian Church, as a member of the Administration & Personnel Committee.
With my "own time" I have many interests which bring me joy. Among them are catering to my labradors, Pearl and Ruby, and their best buddy Roamer, a Siberian Husky ---all of whom live charmed lives! I also enjoy gardening (both flowers and vegetables), knitting, reading (history especially), and cooking & baking. And probably most significant in my life is the joy of friendship; I have been blessed with a number of close, loyal, and caring individuals in my life.
